Spool Container * Porta Rocchetti

This is a small spool container I made for a friend of mine. It has lots of lovely colourful spools in side and a small handmade pincushion attached to the lid! Quite handy! ;)
Ecco un contenitore per rocchetti che ho fatto per una mia amica. Dentro contiene tantissimi rocchetti colorati e all'interno del coperchio ho attaccato un puntaspilli fatto a mano! ;)

Three crafty things I made!

Hi, how are you all?
I'm a busy bee on books and with needle and thread these days. In fact I have a couple new things to show you! ;) I made and packaged these three sets of Pink*Strawberry*Pincuchions. Some have already reached their new home.. others are on their way!

Io sono sempre tra libri e cucito. Ho alcune cose nuove da mostrarvi! Ho cucito a mano e confezionato tre set di puntaspilli Pink*Strawberry*Pincuchions.
Alcuni hanno già raggiunto la loro nuova casina.. altri sono per strada che arrivano!

I also decorated this tiny brown towel with vintage lace and ribbon roses.
Ho anche decorato questo piccolo asciugamanino marrone con del pizzo vintage e roselline di raso.

..and last but not least other two small Certain Creature pencilcases!

Sewing.. sewing... the quilt and..

I've been sewing and sewing.. and sewing all my little pieces of fabric! In total I sewed 88 squares. The trickiest part was deciding in which order to sew them without having similar ones too close to each other. That's when little Eddy (my brother) came along to help with advice.
I also made some pot holders with the pretty scraps.. because they were too cute to be binned and were perfect for this purpose!

Ho cucito e cucito.. e cucito tutti i miei quadratini di stoffa! In totale ne ho cuciti 88. La parte più ostica è stata decidere l'ordine in cui posizionare i quadrati senza che ce ne fossero di simili uno difianco all'altro. Ed è stato in quel momento che è entrato in azione mio fratello con i suoi consigli. Ho anche fatto qualche presine con i ritagli che erano troppo carini per buttarli via.

More on the quilt..

I'm working on the quilt these days and also studying for exams coming up! I have two in Novembre and the one I'm studying for right now is Philology. I have a couple crafts I want to post about that I was working on last week but I still have to wait a bit. Two are gifts and I have to give them to my friends before I post about them in case they check here.. they sometimes peek. And the rest of the crafty business is for the swap and that also has to remain secret until the actual swap happens!
I'm going to sew the quilt pieces so I'll post pictures of that sooner than you think! So say tuned!

Sono contenta che i ciondoli piacciano! ;)
In questi giorni sto lavorando alla quilt e sto anche studiando! Ho due esami a novembre e quello che sto studiando adesso è di Filologia. Ho un pò craft da mostrare a cui stavo lavorando la scorsa settimana ma devo ancora aspettare un pochino: a) perchè alcuni sono regali e devo aspettare di darli agli amici se no se poi sbirciano da queste parti .. b) altri sono craft in relazione allo swap quindi devo aspettare a fare lo swap così non rovino a nessuno la sorpresa!
Incomincio a cucire la quilt quindi presto posterò anche foto riguardo a quello! State sintonizzati!

Pendants

Hello there!
Here are better pictures of the porcelain painted pendants I've been making! All of these oval ones are about 4cm long and 3cm wide.
Ehilà!
Ecco alcune foto migliori dei ciondoli di porcellana che dipingo! Questi ovali sono tutti circa 4cm in lunghezza e 3cm in larghezza.

I handpainted each one. It's a lot of fun. Some also have dichroic glass fired in on it!
Li ho dipinti a mano uno per uno. Mi diverto molto. Su alcuni ho anche fatto fondere del vetro dicroico.

Collage work

I did some collage work starting from a magazine for a project with PinkPebble. The project was to make collages on thin cardboard or any other paper base (21cm x 24 cm). There were a few rules such as : you can only use the paper from the magazine, ribbons, stamps, chipboards, rub-ons and any kind of paint, pen or pencil. I actually just used cutouts and a black pen. I mainly focused on an idea or message in both.. and worked around that.

Ho fatto un pò di collage per un progetto insieme a PinkPebble! Il progetto era di farnealcune su cartoncino o qualsiasi altro tipo di base (21cmx24cm). C'erano anche alcune regole per esempio: usare solo ritagli del giornale, nastri, timbri, chipboards, trasferelli e colori o matite di ogni genere. Io alla fine ho usato solo ritagli e una biro nera. Mi sono concentrata soprattutto su un'idea o un messaggio.. e ho sviluppato tutto partendo da lì.

I love stories old and new.. I love reading and listening to them. I adore the past and everything that was. This makes me a little nostalgic at times but with a constant push forward.
Io adoro le storie vecchie e nuove.. adoro leggerle e ascoltarle. Adoro il passato e tutto ciò che fu. Questo mi rende un pò nostalgica a volte ma con una costante spinta in avanti.

It's so fun to combine different fabrics and sew them together with the machine!
