I'm studying a lot these days and time for crafting is little and sometimes late at night. Two nights ago I had this felt-rabbit desire and in an hour and a half, as I was watching (..listening to..) tv, I "met" Oliverabbit.

Sto studiando molto in questi giorni e il tempo per fare crafts è poco e notturno. Due sere fa avevo voglia di un coniglietto di feltro e in un ora e mezza, mentre guardavo (..ascoltavo..) la tv, ho "incontrato" Oliverabbit.

I was in such a hurry to "see" him that as I was sewing I forgot to trace my pieces so that I could create a pattern (like I usually do) and then make lots of Oliverabbits..

Avevo talmente fretta di "vederlo" che mentre lo cucivo mi sono dimenticata di riportare le sagomine dei pezzi per creare il pattern (come faccio di solito) per poi poter fare tanti altri Oliverabbits..

So now I MUST make him a sister or a girlfriend.. what do you say? But before I do that though, I need to make him some clothes... otherwise he'd be embarrassed! :)

Quindi ora DEVO fargli una sorella o una fidanzata.. che ne dite? Prima di fare quello però, dovrò fargli dei vestitini.. se no si imbarazza! :)

It's a good book if you want to learn how to start making softies - once you learn the method then you can go creative crazy and make your own design.. that's what I think! :) It's great for kids... and it's SuperGreat for people (like me) that don't just love sewing but also adore cute books and things!

Fun Dolls ti insegna passo a passo come farti degli animaletti tridimensionali carinissimi. E' perfetto per chi incomincia a imparare a cucire - una volta imparato il metodo uno può spaziare con la fantasia e la creatività e creare il proprio design.. almeno questo è come la vedo io! :) E' perfetto per bambini.. ed è super per persone (come me) a cui non piace solo cucire ma a cui piacciono anche libri e cosine carine!
Questo libro è davvero delizioso!

Le **dolci** Scarpine di Sveva

A few weeks ago I entered a Giveaway on a website called Babyccino to win a cute pair of DIY Sveva's Baby Shoes and I won! I was so thrilled! The artist that came up with this cute idea is Roberta, you can visit her blog, Sveva's Baby Shoes, here.

I couldn't wait to make them so I started right away.. and here is how they turned out!

Un paio di settimane fa ho partecipato a un Giveaway sul sito Babyccino, in palio c'era un paio delle carinissime Scarpine di Sveva e le ho vinte!!! Felicità! Pochi giorni dopo Roberta delle Scarpine di Sveva mi ha inviato il bellissimo kit!!
Non sono riuscita a resistere e ho incominciato a lavorarci da subito.. ecco il risultato!

The tiny shoes, with the cute shape and the perfect cotton summery fabric, already speak for themselves. I only added a tiny decorative maroon felt flower on the front; I didn't want to overdo it. I think the design of the shoe itself needs to stand out.. it's too cute!

Le piccole scarpine, con la loro forme simpatica e il tessuto di cotone perfetto per l'estate, parlano da sé. Ho semplicemente aggiunto un piccolo fiorellino decorativo di pannolenci in tinta; non volevo esagerare per non affogare il bel design della scarpina che è troppo dolce!
You can find these and many other styles of Sveva's shoes in Roberta's shop! The shoes come elegantly packaged with profesionally printed tags and instructions. The instrictions are straight forward and both in English and Italian.

*Sew Mini* - Birdie Box

Remember the original Sew*Mini?
Here is the new version: Sew*Mini Birdie Box :) (only 7cm wide and 5cm high)

Ecco la nuova versione: Sew*Mini Birdie Box :) (è larga 7cm e alta 5cm)

There are 12 spools inside, a thimble, 6 pins and 2 flower pins, one needle, a felt bird sticker decoration, and two pincushions (the green one and the tiny strawberry)... lots in one little box!

All'interno ci sono 12 rocchetti, un ditale, 6 spilli e 2 spilli fiore, un ago, uno sticker decorativo a uccellino e due puntaspilli (quello verde e la fragolina).. tanto in una scatolina così piccina!

I painted the wooden box inside and out with acrylic paints,
and added a bit of gloss on the outside.

Ho dipinto la scatola di legno dentro e fuori con gli acrilici
e ho aggiunto un pò di gloss all'esterno.
